AOMG's First Girl Crew Kivitz Debuts with EP 'OXY_GEN', Supported by Jay Park
June 30, 2026
AOMG has officially debuted its first girl crew, Kivitz. On the afternoon of the 30th, Kivitz held a showcase for their first EP, 'OXY_GEN', at Yes24 Live Hall Wonderrock in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, marking their formal debut. As the next generation leaders of AOMG's 2.0 rebranding project 'Make It New', the group's name reflects their desire to become a new key in the industry, aiming to read the trends and make a significant impact on the music scene.
Kivitz consists of five members who emphasize vocals, rap, and performance equally, choosing the term 'crew' over 'group' to express a new identity. Kang Ye-seul explained that the album title 'OXY_GEN' combines 'Oxy' (oxygen) and 'Generation'. She stated, 'Just as oxygen is needed to keep a fire burning, we aim to be the spark that ignites a new field as a girl crew rather than just a girl group.' Kim Yu-na added, 'A crew doesn't start with a created concept; it comes from our attitude.'
The debut EP 'OXY_GEN' features five tracks, including the title track 'Oxy', pre-released songs 'Kivitz', 'Catch My Breath', 'Subzero', and the member-written track 'Set It Up'. The title track 'Oxy' leaves a strong first impression with its driving rhythm and powerful energy, with Kang Ye-seul's vocals and rap adding stability and strength. The members were also actively involved in the album production. Kim Yu-na noted, 'The pre-released song 'Kivitz' features lyrics written by our youngest member, Eom Ji-won, and the members participated in producing the album tracks.'
Jay Park also offered his support. Kim Yu-na mentioned, 'Jay Park produced the track 'Catch My Breath' for us, helping us maximize our strengths in a free environment.' Kivitz's solid foundation is backed by their history; Yu-i, Eom Ji-won, and Son Ju-won all appeared together in the 2024 Mnet debut survival program 'Island 2'.
Yu-i shared, 'Island 2 was a huge challenge for me. After the show ended, I was unsure of my future until I received this offer. As soon as I heard 'girl crew', I knew I wanted to do it.' She added, 'There were tough times, but the members took care of each other like family, helping us get through. I don't think you'll easily find such a group of members anywhere else.' Youngest member Eom Ji-won said, 'As the youngest, the members looked after me a lot, which made me feel I had to work harder. Having been on Island 2, I prepared for my debut with the mindset that I couldn't afford to be weak.'
