NMIXX to Make Comeback on October 19 with Sixth Mini Album ‘Strange Muse,’ Featuring Their First-Ever Unit Songs

NMIXX will release their sixth mini album, ‘Strange Muse,’ on October 19, marking their comeback approximately five months after their last release.

At midnight on the 21st, JYP Entertainment announced the new album and unveiled its tracklist through NMIXX’s official social media channels. ‘Strange Muse’ features six tracks, including the title song ‘긴 소원 (Birthday Wish),’ as well as ‘Kerosene,’ ‘RudE TaLK,’ ‘너는 달 (Sing to the Moon),’ ‘Hot ‘n Unbothered,’ and ‘휙 (WHIP).’ The album will be officially released on various music platforms at 6 p.m. KST on October 19.

The most notable aspect of the new release is its three unit tracks, which NMIXX will present for the first time since their debut. Lily and Haewon team up for ‘너는 달,’ Sullyoon and BAE for ‘Hot ‘n Unbothered,’ and Jiwoo and Kyujin for ‘휙.’ As NMIXX introduces new pairings after primarily promoting as a full group, fans are eager to see how each member’s individual color and the musical appeal of each unit will unfold.

The members also continued to participate in the songwriting process. Lily and Haewon, Sullyoon and BAE, and Jiwoo and Kyujin are each credited as lyricists on their respective unit songs. Kyujin also participated in composing ‘휙,’ while BAE contributed lyrics to the B-side ‘RudE TaLK.’ The members’ direct involvement in writing and composing adds another point of interest to the comeback and gives the album an even more distinctive musical identity.

NMIXX has carried out musical activities with seasonally themed songs such as ‘Blue Valentine’ and ‘Heavy Serenade.’ This time, they will begin a new chapter with the autumn-inspired, dreamy atmosphere of ‘Strange Muse’ and its title track ‘긴 소원 (Birthday Wish).’

An encore concert is scheduled after the album’s release. NMIXX will hold encore performances at Incheon Inspire Arena from November 27 to 29, bringing their approximately yearlong debut world tour, ‘EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER,’ to a close. Expectations are high for NMIXX’s autumn activities, which will include their new album, first-ever unit songs, and encore concert.
