IVE's Jang Won-young Kicks Off Comeback Countdown With a Coming-Soon Film Release

Jang Won-young, a member of IVE, has intensified the comeback countdown with a coming-soon film. Starship Entertainment announced on the 21st that it posted the '장원영 편' video on IVE's official social media channels, signaling the prelude to the new release. The released video delivers a strong sense of immersion through its visuals alone, and the silence of a corridor is punctuated by Jang Won-young's whistle and the steady rhythm of her shoe taps, heightening the mysterious tension. Wearing a white trench coat, she exudes a cool yet elegant aura, and the image of her holding a red apple while looking toward somewhere stirs intense curiosity. This scene evokes the iconic moment from the film Kill Bill, further stoking anticipation for the new release. At the end of the video, a countdown caption reads February 9, 6 PM, hinting at the possible release of a pre-release track ahead of the late-February comeback. According to the report, this coming-soon film serves as the kickoff to the comeback. It also notes that Jang Won-young has been actively expanding her musical realm; she is credited for lyrics on IVE's mini 3 title track ATTITUDE and mini 4 title track XOXZ, contributing to building IVE's message and identity. Recently, as of January 2026, she ranked No. 1 on the girl group personal brand reputation index, underscoring her continued buzz and musical prowess. The report adds that amid this momentum, the comeback is her first new release since the mini-album IVE SECRET released last August, drawing attention from domestic and international fans. All eyes are on the new moves set to unfold by the end of February.
