AxMxP comeback with Amplify My Way… Release showcase held at 예스24 원더로크홀

An AxMxP release showcase for their first mini album Amplify My Way drew attention from fans at 예스24 원더로크홀 in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. At the event, members 하유준, 김신, 크루, and 주환 talked about the stories behind the title track, clarified their musical direction, and introduced in detail the youth journey contained in the new album. Amplify My Way is a seven-track mini album, featuring double title tracks ‘PASS(패스)’ and ‘그리고 며칠 후(Thereafter)’, expanding the youth story with contrasting moods. The album was released on the 21st at 18:00 on music sites, and at 19:00 on the same day the fan showcase AxMxP Show: Inside the paradox (에이엠피 쇼 : 인사이드 더 패러독스) was held.

The mini album is regarded as a work that emphasizes AxMxP’s independent musical color, continuing FNC Entertainment’s K-band lineage. Member 하유준 participated in writing all lyrics, and 김신 performed his first self-composed song ‘Be yours’ (너의 평소에). Other tracks include the punchy ‘PASS’ (패스), the modern-rock flavored chorus of ‘그리고 며칠 후(Thereafter)’, the rap-core/nu-metal balance in ‘Too Much’, ‘Punch-Drunk’, the soft-string and electric-guitar blend in ‘I Melody You’ (너의 멜로디가 됐어), the emotional swirl of ‘Bittersweet’ (가끔씩 욕해), and finally the self-penned ‘Be yours’ (너의 평소에) which deepens the band’s color, totaling seven tracks.

With this lineup, the members spoke with a resolve about this comeback, coming just over four months after their debut. JooHwan said, “If PASS is a song with a strong identity, the other title captures it in a ‘milder’ form.” 크루 added, “We also look forward to stages that follow the intensity of PASS.” 하유준 stated, “This album reflects our intention to showcase various genres; we tried arrangements like half seasoning and half fried.” Their conversation reveals band pride and a firm direction for the future.

Meanwhile, AxMxP also expressed willpower to chase music-show wins and global festival appearances during this activity, aiming for bigger stages and overseas festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza. They also hope to strengthen communication with fans through the album’s diverse colors.

Even after the release showcase, fans kept an eye on the charts, and at the live venue they eagerly anticipated performances of ‘PASS’ and ‘그리고 며칠 후’. AxMxP pledged to continue new musical experiments and performances to lead Korea’s rock/hip-hop band scene.
