BABYMONSTER to Return October 23 at 1 p.m., Building on World Tour Momentum
October 6, 2026
BABYMONSTER will release a new song on October 23 at 1 p.m. KST, marking their first comeback in roughly four months since the June 8 release of digital single “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA.” The announcement adds to anticipation for their activities in the second half of the year as they meet fans around the globe on their second world tour.
YG Entertainment posted BABYMONSTER’s “COMING SOON” teaser poster on its official blog on October 6. Featuring the text “2026.10.23 1:00 PM KST,” the poster confirmed the release date and time for fans awaiting new music alongside the tour.
The poster depicts a softly glowing planet in the darkness, with light stretching across the surface of water. Its largely monochrome imagery creates a mysterious, dreamlike mood. The song’s title, genre and specific concept have yet to be revealed, leaving fans curious about the music and visuals to come.
This year, BABYMONSTER released their third mini album, “CHOOM,” followed by the digital single “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” and continued promotions with album tracks “I LIKE IT” and “MOON.” According to atStar1, the mini album arrived on May 4, with “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA” following about a month later. The outlet described the single as an uptempo dance track featuring powerful bass and a repetitive hook. The upcoming release will add another song to the group’s musical output this year.
BABYMONSTER are also continuing to connect with fans through their second world tour, “2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM].” They recently performed for a combined audience of 90,000 over two days at Japan’s Kyocera Dome Osaka. Announcing new music after these large-scale shows, the group is keeping both releases and touring on its schedule.
atStar1 reported that the Kyocera Dome Osaka concerts took place on September 22 and 23. Their Japan tour, which began in Kobe in July, comprised 11 shows across six cities and drew a total of 200,000 attendees. That concert momentum is fueling interest in the group’s next activities as the comeback approaches.
BABYMONSTER will continue the tour in Jakarta, Indonesia, on October 17. Sports Donga, Donga.com and other outlets reported that the world tour spans 31 shows in 18 cities across five continents: Asia, Oceania, South America, North America and Europe. With the new song scheduled for October 23 after the Jakarta concert, fans can look forward to more from the group both onstage and through new music.
The musical direction of this comeback remains under wraps, and how the teaser’s atmosphere connects to the song has yet to be revealed. After a steady run of releases and performances, anticipation is building for what BABYMONSTER will bring on October 23.
