A2O SOUL and A2O LITE Hold Debut Showcase as Lee Soo-man Unveils Music and Technology Vision
October 13, 2026
A2O Entertainment’s boy group A2O SOUL and girl group A2O LITE marked a new beginning with their first official performances. Held on October 12 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, “Welcome to SOULITE from A2O SOUL A2O LITE” showcased both teams’ debut performances and introduced production plans spanning music, filming technology and fan communication.
According to Sports Donga, SOUL, a 15-member multinational boy group, performed “SUPERSTAR,” while nine-member girl group LITE presented “NEON.” The teams took the stage on the same day with distinct sounds and concepts. Xports News praised the showcase’s individual and group performances, including its tightly synchronized choreography. Producer Yoo Young-jin participated in creating both teams’ music and performances.
Speaking before the performances, A2O visionary leader and key producer Lee Soo-man identified music as the starting point for differentiation. “As long as K-pop groups are called ‘singers,’ the most important starting point is ultimately the ‘song,’” he said, explaining that a song’s distinctive qualities should carry through to the choreography, music video and performance. He also stressed that being different alone is insufficient: the finished work must become something many people enjoy and love.
A2O stands for “Alpha to Omega,” expressing the idea that beginnings and endings connect, with each ending leading to another beginning through change and expansion. Lee said his concept of CT, or Culture Technology, extends beyond simply adding technology to culture. It also includes finding the technologies needed for new content and experiences, then experimenting and taking action to develop them when necessary.
A key technology presented was 4DGS, or 4D Gaussian Splatting. Lee explained that it captures an artist’s performance simultaneously from multiple viewpoints using several cameras, then combines the data to reconstruct the artist’s appearance and movements in three-dimensional space. New viewpoints and camera movements can be created after filming, a shift he described as moving “from a camera that records to a camera that creates.”
MK Sports and Star News reported that SOUL and LITE’s music videos used 4DGS and the “INFINITE” filming system. Lee also introduced XR experiences that let viewers see artists from their preferred positions and perspectives within recorded time and space, and mentioned a collaboration with Samsung Electronics. According to TV Daily, the venue included an XR experience zone where attendees could explore the technology.
Plans for fan communication were also announced. Sports Donga reported that A2O plans to introduce a video conversation feature on its own communication platform, “Blooming Talk,” in late October. Interactive live talk shows, allowing fans and celebrities to watch, listen and participate together in real time, will follow in stages.
Media reactions to these initiatives varied. iMBC Entertainment questioned how the platform would distinguish itself, noting that existing fan communication platforms are already in use. With music at the center of their plans to expand technology and communication, both groups will release their debut digital singles on October 13 at 6 p.m., according to Sports Donga and Star News.
