July 24, 2026
Billboard, the leading American music publication, announced its 'Top 25 Best K-Pop Albums of the First Half of 2026' on the 20th (local time). The list features Heart of Woman, Shownu X Hyungwon, Woozi, Kiki, and Exurb. Kakao Entertainment confirmed on the 23rd that artists under its labels—Woozi, Kiki (members Jiwoo, Isul, Suwi, Haum, Kiya), and Shownu X Hyungwon—were selected. Kakao Entertainment manages several labels, including Starship Entertainment, Eden Entertainment, High Up Entertainment, and Antenna.
On the list, Woozi's 'Archive. 1' ranked 7th, Kiki's 'Delulu Pack' took 12th place, and Shownu X Hyungwon's 'LOVE ME' secured 14th. Heart of Woman placed 15th with their debut full-length album, while Exurb ranked 6th. Notably, Woozi and Kiki had previously made headlines on the 15th when Billboard released its 'Top 25 Best K-Pop Singles of the First Half of 2026,' with '404 (New Era)' and 'CINEMA' claiming 1st and 17th places respectively, further proving their musical prowess.
Billboard praised Woozi's 'Archive. 1,' stating, 'It boasts a vast sound composed of 17 tracks, evoking experimental 90s rock music.' The publication added, 'Woozi has established himself as a solo artist who not only focuses on more intense rock and crossover sounds than before but also constantly explores new genres.'
Regarding Kiki's 'Delulu Pack,' Billboard noted, 'Kiki, who created one of the best K-Pop songs of the first half of this year, "404 (New Era)," captures the everyday instincts of the post-internet generation living amidst relentless concept competition and weekly music trends.' The review continued, 'There is nothing forced about it. Her voice is free, and the sound is slightly hazy, but that haziness remarkably highlights her generation.'
Shownu X Hyungwon's 'LOVE ME' was described as 'a work that maintains the strong vibe of MONSTA X while expanding the spectrum with the delicate and soft sensibilities of Shownu and Hyungwon.' Meanwhile, the top 5 of Billboard's 'Top 25 Best K-Pop Albums of the First Half of 2026' includes AKMU's 'Blooming,' Baekhyun's 'Gongbu,' NMIXX's 'Heavy Serenade,' SHINee's 'Atmos,' and Cant Be Blue's 'Prussian Blue.'
