BABYMONSTER to Release ‘DESERVE’ on October 23, Showcasing Their Vocals in a Retro Pop Ballad
October 22, 2026
BABYMONSTER will release their new digital single, ‘DESERVE,’ on October 23 at 1 p.m. KST. The song arrives more than four months after ‘SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,’ released on June 8, and places the group’s vocals and emotional expression at the center of their latest comeback.
‘DESERVE’ is a pop ballad combining expressive synthesizer melodies with a retro atmosphere. Following releases driven by hip-hop and energetic dance sounds, BABYMONSTER will explore a different side of their music through a slower track that retains their vocal intensity.
The song gradually builds emotion from its opening, leading to powerful high notes in the chorus and bridge. Its progression brings together delicate vocal delivery and stronger climactic passages, giving the members room to convey the song’s changing emotions.
The accompanying music video is set to arrive alongside the single. Teasers have previewed cinematic staging, detailed facial expressions and choreography featuring a male dancer. These elements introduce a visual approach that combines the song’s emotional atmosphere with moments of intensity.
A poster shared through the group’s official blog on October 22 features vehicle headlights and rising flames. The warm colors and dramatic setting continue the cinematic direction introduced in the video teasers. The single will mark the group’s fifth round of music promotions this year.
BABYMONSTER are also continuing their second world tour, ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [춤 (CHOOM)].’ The announced itinerary spans 31 shows in 18 cities across five continents. According to YG Entertainment, their September 22 and 23 concerts at Kyocera Dome Osaka drew a combined audience of 90,000.
The group have also recorded milestones on global platforms. In figures announced on October 7, YG Entertainment said BABYMONSTER had surpassed 9 million Spotify followers on September 27, while their official YouTube channel had reached 13.3 million subscribers.
