QWER Celebrates 1000 Days Since Debut and Announces Second Asian Tour
July 13, 2026
Girl band QWER is marking their 1000th day since debut by expressing gratitude to their fans and performing on the main stage at the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival on the 31st. Additionally, they have announced their second tour, 'ROCKATION : ROCKET LAUNCH!!', which will visit nine cities across Asia from September through January 2027.
Despite facing mockery and skepticism at the start of their career, QWER established their own musical identity and rose to become 'everyone's favorite girl band.' Starting with their debut single 'Harmony from Discord,' they revealed a unique personality by combining pop rock and anime song styles. In their EP 'MANITO,' they captured street sensibilities and a high-school vibe. Securing public recognition by topping music shows with their title track 'My Name Is Malguem,' QWER has created a new musical spectrum by fusing band sounds with K-pop sensibilities.
In their recent release 'CEREMONY,' they showcased a more mature band sound and narrative depth, strengthening their identity as an artist group. While girl bands are a relatively rare format in the K-pop market, QWER has presented a new model by combining band sounds with the idol system. This aligns with the K-pop industry's trend toward genre diversity, and particularly in the global market, rock-based sounds and band performances offer differentiated competitiveness.
Having met global fandoms directly in Japan, the US, and Europe through their first world tour 'ROCKATION,' QWER is now moving to the next stage. 'ROCKATION : ROCKET LAUNCH!!' will continue their communication with fans across nine Asian cities. QWER's 1000 days is not just a record, but a journey showing both musical evolution and industrial expansion. Now, heading toward a new 1000 days, they are preparing to expand the possibilities of K-pop bands and make their voices heard even louder on the global stage. Of course, alongside their steadfast 'rock crabs' (fans) who always support them.
