TREASURE Releases Mini Album 'NEW WAV' and Launches Unit Activities

YG Entertainment's representative boy group TREASURE has declared a new chapter with their 4th mini album 'NEW WAV', featuring all hip-hop-based tracks. Alongside this release, the group is showing aggressive momentum with active activities, including the music video reveal for rapper unit HYUNHAYO's 'Naranina', and topping global charts.

Following the successful conclusion of their '[PULSE ON]' global tour across 14 cities and 27 shows, TREASURE continued their comeback without pause. 'NEW WAV' is notable for being their first album entirely filled with hip-hop-based tracks. Critics praise the strong synergy between YG's authentic hip-hop color and the members' solid live performance capabilities, while also highlighting the significance of the project being directly overseen by Chief Producer Yang Hyun-suk.

The album's success is backed by numbers. TREASURE achieved a million-seller in their first week and swept the Korean Hanteo Chart, Circle Chart, and Japanese Oricon and Billboard Japan weekly album charts, securing a quadruple crown in Korea and Japan. Additionally, the music video for the album's first English title track, 'IF I', ranked #1 on YouTube for 'Most Viewed Video in 24 Hours', setting a record for the fastest time to reach 100 million views for a K-pop song released this year. After securing #1 on Mnet's 'M Countdown' post-comeback, TREASURE plans to maintain their upward trend with the '[NEW WAV : LIVE]' fan concert series across 8 cities and 20 shows.

Meanwhile, the rapper unit HYUNHAYO, composed of TREASURE members, is also active. They recently released the music video for their digital single 'Naranina', meeting fan expectations. 'Naranina', which combines powerful beats with the members' smooth rap performances, is being evaluated as another example of TREASURE's musical diversity, drawing attention from global fandoms.

BabyMonster, another rising star under YG alongside TREASURE, is also making waves. Having gained global response with their 3rd mini album '[CHOOM]' released in May, they topped the iTunes album charts in 19 regions and claimed the worldwide album chart #1 spot. They followed up with a rapid comeback via the digital single 'SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA' on the 8th, receiving praise as a representative summer song for this year.
