DAILY:DIRECTION Makes a Refreshing Comeback With First Mini Album ‘WHICH WAY’: “A Stage Where We Can All Jump Around Together”
October 15, 2026
DAILY:DIRECTION is charting a path through love with its first mini album, ‘WHICH WAY.’ At a release showcase held at X Scala in Jung-gu, Seoul, on October 14, the group discussed its refreshing new concept, musical growth and hopes for performances fans can enjoy together. The album was set for release at 6 p.m. that day.
The comeback arrives roughly three months after the group’s second single, ‘MONKEY MODE,’ released in July. According to OSEN, the members said that staying active and getting their name out there matters as rookies, and that returning so quickly felt more like an honor than a burden. They added that performing at festivals and overseas events while preparing the album helped them build valuable stage experience.
Centered on love, ‘WHICH WAY’ asks which path to take on a shared journey. According to The Fact, the members explored the idea of becoming Cupids searching for love, aiming to express the universal emotion in their own style. They said developing a new concept while finding ways to showcase all six members’ distinct charms helped them grow.
The title track blends the free-spirited energy of alternative hip-hop and alternative rock with polished pop. It asks where the group should head as its six members discover their individual colors and strengthen their collective identity. Rather than settling on an answer in advance, the members said they are finding themselves along the way and hope to become a team that can pull off a wide range of concepts.
The performance centers on sharing that refreshing energy with the audience. Speaking to The Korea Economic Daily, Kim Juhyeong highlighted chant-along sections, an addictive hook and easy-to-follow signature choreography, calling it “a stage where we can all jump around together.” The performance is designed to make viewers feel as though they are onstage with the group.
The six-track album features ‘WHICH WAY,’ ‘IF YOU SAY SO,’ ‘TRAPPED,’ ‘DOWN WITH IT,’ ‘WHO I AM’ and ‘UP.’ Its varied moods include the upbeat rhythms and romantic excitement of ‘IF YOU SAY SO,’ and the lingering feelings for someone expressed through rock sounds and trap beats on ‘TRAPPED.’ The members recommended ‘DOWN WITH IT’ for workouts and described ‘WHO I AM’ as a gentle wave that offers a moment of calm within the album.
The group also shared clear goals for this comeback. Lee Wonwoo hopes to earn the nickname “chameleon” by showing how naturally the group can adapt to different genres and concepts. Jang Yunseok promised to film a dance challenge on the spot if he hears the group’s music playing on the street. According to Star News, he also expressed hopes of winning a year-end rookie award, while Ivan said he wants people to watch their singing and performances and respond, “That’s good” and “That’s cool.”
