March 18, 2026
Red Velvet's Irene returns after a long wait with her first solo full-length album. The album, set for release on March 30 at 6 p.m., consists of 10 tracks, including the self-titled lead track Biggest Fan, and will showcase Irene's presence across a variety of moods. According to reports, the regular album will be released simultaneously on digital music platforms and offline stores, and preparations are in place to bring her closer to fans. Among the tracks, Face To Face features dreamy, grand synths and spatial R&B-pop, with lyrics that chronicle accepting one's authentic self, delivering a calm yet resonant impression. Irene's vocals are said to sharpen the track's mood. Meanwhile, Million Miles Away is a retro-flavored pop-dance track with varied synths and an upbeat rhythm, vividly depicting moments when stepping away from daily life into unfamiliar spaces, conveying liberated emotion. A soft, flexible vocal adds a gentle charm to the song. Black Halo blends cool keyboard textures with tense effects and a grand gospel-inspired arrangement in a mid-tempo R&B-pop track, with lyrics written as a monologue about letting go of hollow expectations and hopeful illusions; Irene's voice moves between chest and head voice to guide the narrative. Together, these tracks demonstrate Irene's versatile vocal spectrum. On the 17th, Red Velvet's official channel released a second teaser image and a mood clip, capturing the moment when Irene confronts many facets of herself in a space full of her own presence, realizing she can become her own Biggest Fan. The full-length album Biggest Fan will also be released physically on the 30th, and pre-orders are available both online and in offline stores. This marks her first release since the mini album Like A Flower, released in November 2024, about 1 year and 4 months ago, further raising anticipation for fans.
