제로베이스원 unveils new song Customize for the first time at KCON JAPAN 2026 after five-member reorganization
May 6, 2026
제로베이스원 has completed a five-member reorganization and will premiere the new song Customize on the KCON JAPAN 2026 stage in Japan. As their first official music reveal since the lineup was reduced to five, the group is set to perform the track on the Makuhari Messe stage in Chiba on the 10th. Customize is a track included in 제로베이스원's sixth mini-album Ascend-, scheduled for release on the 18th, and is drawing attention as 박건욱's first self-composed song. Based on a pop-rock melody with a deep emotional line, the song candidly expresses the irony of losing oneself as listeners become more immersed.
Park 건욱 spoke during a live broadcast on the afternoon of the 4th: from the outset, he felt it would be cool if the five of them sang together, adding that this is a song only 제로베이스원 can perform. He also said that he directed in the recording studio and that the older members did incredibly well; he is curious about the reaction when it is released and hopes to share it soon. We’ll meet soon.
Ascend- includes seven tracks, among them the title track TOP 5 and Customize, plus Intro., V for Vision, Exotic, Changes, and Zero to Hundred, bringing 제로베이스원의 expanded musical spectrum together. Since March, the group has been reformed into five members 성한빈, 김지웅, 석매튜, 김태래, 박건욱, and this album is expected to showcase a different color and direction from before.
The release date for Ascend- is set for the 18th at 6 PM, and the stage premiere of Customize is expected to elevate fans' musical expectations. With the five-member lineup, each member’s role is anticipated to harmonize for an even stronger performance.
