BIGBANG Sells Out Every Seat at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium… T.O.P Shows Support for World Tour
September 15, 2026
BIGBANG has confirmed the passionate interest of local fans by selling out a major stadium during their North American tour, which marks the beginning of their global activities celebrating their 20th anniversary. On the 11th (local time), BIGBANG held ‘BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR XX : COSMOS IN EAST RUTHERFORD’ at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Following concerts in Auckland on the 4th and 5th, the group successfully wrapped up its North American schedule with the New Jersey show.
The concert was especially meaningful as BIGBANG’s first North American solo tour in 11 years, following ‘BIGBANG 2015 WORLD TOUR [MADE]’ in 2015. At MetLife Stadium, one of the United States’ major venues where global artists including Taylor Swift and Coldplay have performed, BIGBANG sold out even the restricted-view seats and filled the venue to capacity.
Taking the stage amid dazzling fireworks, BIGBANG opened the concert with ‘FANTASTIC BABY.’ They then heated up the venue with ‘HANDS UP,’ ‘TONIGHT,’ ‘BLUE,’ ‘LOSER,’ and ‘IF YOU.’ Large LED screens, videos, fireworks, lasers, and other stage elements heightened the immersive experience. Although the setlist consisted mostly of Korean-language songs, the audience sang along to many of them and responded with enthusiastic cheers and powerful fan chants.
Solo stages for each member were also featured. Daesung showcased a different side of his appeal with an emotional performance and a trot song, while Taeyang filled the stage with his groove-driven performance. G-DRAGON made his presence felt with hip-hop swagger and intense charisma. BIGBANG told fans, “What is most precious to us is the love you send us,” adding, “Thank you for loving and supporting us throughout these 20 years. It truly feels like a dream to have been active for this long and to perform in a stadium.”
Meanwhile, former BIGBANG member T.O.P expressed his support for the members’ world tour in a local Japanese interview. T.O.P said, “From now on, I plan to continue my activities as a solo artist,” and stated that although he would not perform with them on the same stage, he would always support and stand behind BIGBANG’s activities and music.
T.O.P explained that making music during his extended hiatus helped him regain the feeling of being alive, and that consistently working on new projects allowed him to stand back up. In April, he released his first full-length solo album, ‘다중관점 (ANOTHER DIMENSION),’ and is currently meeting fans across Asia through his brand tour, ‘T.O.P PRE-STUDIO 2026.’
BIGBANG will continue its world tour in Paris, France, on the 19th and London, England, on the 26th. The group is also scheduled to perform in Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, and other cities, with the tour spanning 36 shows across 19 cities.
