Cravity Teases a Distinct Narrative With ReDeFINE Interlude Film as Multi-Layer Concept Begins With AWAKE

Cravity is prepping for their comeback with a film-like Interlude Film that previews a multi-layered narrative. Starship Entertainment recently released the Interlude Film for the upcoming eighth mini album ReDeFINE on its official social media. The video opens with Minhee lighting a match, capturing a bright, upbeat mood as the members freely blow out candles and play with a rubber band. Next, Serim joins his hands in a solemn wish, and Seongmin plays tag alone, showcasing a fresh, lively energy. However, when Jungmo trips while dancing, the music cuts out, bringing in a sense of tension. As Jungmo catches his breath and awakens, the video shifts to a completely different mood, with Hyungjun appearing against a cold, dark backdrop, and the members’ expressions move from ardent to hollow gazes, looking into the distance, painting a restrained mood and an image of vanishing. As the music builds, circular clouds form in the sky and all eyes turn there. The video ends with Minhee facing the camera again, mirroring the opening and closing shots to emphasize the meaning of repetition. The added symbolism of various objects heightens curiosity about the album’s message, according to a staff member.

Cravity’s mini album ReDeFINE is said to distinctly capture the group’s identity in the current era. Having expressed fear, longing, and growth through their music, they are said to redefine their identity beyond existing boundaries in this project. In particular, the title track is known as AWAKE and conveys that moments once deemed endings can become new beginnings. It is said to tell a story of facing a clearer self amid times of wavering.

Before the comeback, Cravity pre-released a fan song for Luvity on the 14th to celebrate their sixth anniversary since debut, a track included on the album. Amid a special message to the fandom, a two-day popup space event is planned for the 26th and 27th to allow fans to experience the new album’s concept more diversely. Meanwhile, ReDeFINE will be officially released on the 29th at 6 PM on various online music sites, and the group will begin active music-show promotions with the title track AWAKE.
