IVE Reveals ‘Looks Can Kill’ Comeback Schedule, Teases ‘Girl Hero’ Transformation
September 30, 2026
IVE is returning as six “girl heroes.” The group has unveiled the promotional schedule for its new mini album, “Looks Can Kill,” with the title track of the same name arriving on October 19 ahead of the full album release on October 26.
Starship Entertainment shared the schedule poster through IVE’s official social media on September 29. Bold fonts and striking colors give the poster a superhero-movie feel. The Fact noted that the promotional schedule appears in banner form, while Herald Muse highlighted how the poster continues the cinematic superhero visuals and mood of the earlier coming-soon video.
Promotions begin with the tracklist reveal on October 4, followed by content titled “HERO IN EVERYWHERE” on October 5 and “POST CREDITS SCENE : GIRL HERO” on October 6. These releases will gradually introduce the group’s new story alongside the album’s track lineup.
Concept photos will feature four themes: “GIRL HERO,” “HERO COMICS,” “HERO ON SET” and “SPIN-OFF.” MHN reported that there will be four versions in total. The distinct themes, united by the hero concept, are building anticipation for a fictional universe expressed in IVE’s own style.
The album is a spin-off project built around the “girl hero” concept. Starship Entertainment said it will introduce new characters and a new fictional universe following the group’s previous Cupid and magical-girl concepts. The six members will transform into heroes, continuing their story with an expanded range of music and performances.
The release schedule centers on the October 19 advance release of “Looks Can Kill,” followed one week later by the complete mini album on October 26. Star News and Herald Muse reported that various promotional releases, including music video teasers, are planned for the title track. According to Sports Donga and MHN, a highlight medley will follow the track’s release.
In an OSEN report, a representative said that IVE has shown a new side with every album through distinctive concepts and music, asking fans to look forward to even more striking visuals and music, along with the group’s signature confident message. From the tracklist and concept content to the advance single and full album, anticipation is growing for the music and visuals these six heroes will bring.
