The Wind Releases 4th Mini Album 'Second Wind' Produced by Park Kyung

The Wind has released their fourth mini-album, 'Second Wind: S#00', featuring full-track production by Block B's Park Kyung, showcasing a new identity called 'Refreshing Hip'. Centered around the title track 'Party Like A Rock Star', the album combines pop rock and funky sounds, marking their first album release in 1 year and 9 months.

On the afternoon of the 29th, The Wind held a media showcase for the album at Ilji Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, kicking off their comeback activities. This album adds a free and confident atmosphere to their consistent refreshing energy, embodying the 'Refreshing Hip' identity. Notably, this is their first new work in about 1 year and 2 months since the special single 'Hello Tomorrow' in May 2025, and it is also their first project under new management by Pangstar Entertainment. The members are approaching this comeback with the mindset of a 'second start'.

The members stated, "'Second Wind: S#00' is an album that captures The Wind's full-fledged second round. We see it as a turning point for another leap and a second opportunity." They named the album 'Second Wind' to reflect their ambition to reach higher places and bring in a new breath to go further. Despite their strong determination, there is one regret: Kim Hee-soo is unable to participate in this comeback due to health reasons. Park Ha-yoo-chan and Ahn Chan-won mentioned, "We put a lot of effort into vocals and performance so that Kim Hee-soo's absence wouldn't be felt." They added that they recently video-called Hee-soo and were relieved to hear she is doing well, hoping she returns soon to share the stage.

The album features five tracks: the title track 'Party Like A Rock Star', 'With the Wind', 'That's Smoove!', 'Shiver', and 'Back and Forth'. Park Kyung of Block B handled all songwriting, composition, and production for the album. Choi Han-bin and Thanaton expressed their joy, saying, "We were originally fans of Park Kyung, so we were so happy to work with him." They noted that while they had high expectations for how The Wind's color would be expressed, he brought out their unique charm. They also praised his detailed direction on voice tone, breathing, pronunciation, and emotion, which helped them complete songs with The Wind's distinct style.

The title track 'Party Like A Rock Star' is a Pop & Rock track that harmonizes a funky main guitar riff with an EDM-style lead synth, characterized by a cheerful band sound and explosive energy. Park Ha-yoo-chan shared, "When I first heard it, I worried if we could express it well because the tempo was faster and the energy was higher than our previous songs. But through Park Kyung's direction and practice, we managed to digest it in our own style. Now, it's a song we enjoy dancing to on stage." Choi Han-bin added, "'Party Like A Rock Star' is a cool and energetic song perfect for summer. We will take responsibility for this summer. We hope you spend it coolly with The Wind," delivering a resolve that matched their group name.

With strong motivation and the solid support of Park Kyung, the members are full of confidence. The Wind set their goal for the 'Second Wind: S#00' activities to create "music that stays in people's memories for a long time." They stated, "Our skills have grown, but our confidence has increased as well. Since this is our second chance, we want to cause a storm and typhoon in the music industry. We hope 'Second Wind: S#00' becomes an album remembered for a long time." They also did not forget to thank their fans who waited for them for a long time. Jang Hyun-joon and Thanaton simply conveyed, "Thank you for waiting so long."
