MONSTA X Releases ‘MAGIC’ FIX Dance Video, Continuing Global Success with Precise Synchronization
September 14, 2026
MONSTA X has showcased a polished performance by releasing a dance practice video for the FIX version of “MAGIC,” the title track from their new album, “The Phase.”
The group recently unveiled the video through its official YouTube channel. Filmed with a fixed-camera setup, the FIX version captures the full formations and choreography changes created by the six members—Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M—in a single view. Offering a different perspective from music-show performances, the video highlights both each member’s individual movements and the team’s synchronized choreography, bringing the appeal of the performance into sharper focus.
In the video, MONSTA X creates a mysterious atmosphere with seemingly wavering movements performed with precise timing. In the sharp and powerful sequences that follow, the members extend their arms to add force to each move, while smooth transitions amplify the song’s mood. Point choreography featuring movements that resemble running forward with their arms crossing back and forth, as well as large arm rotations evoking a whirlwind, also captured attention. Combining dynamic control of intensity with the six members’ strong chemistry, MONSTA X builds its energy through the very end of the practice video, showing passion reminiscent of a live stage.
Released on the 4th, “MAGIC” compares the moment of being strongly drawn to one another to magic, portraying uncontrollable emotions and a fated encounter. Rhythmic guitar sounds and intense beats blend with the members’ rap and vocals, adding restrained sophistication and wit to MONSTA X’s signature energy and power.
“The Phase” debuted at No. 6 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart immediately after its release. It also topped K-pop album charts in 11 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Türkiye. In Korea, the group continued its success across global charts and music shows by winning the No. 1 trophy on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank.” MONSTA X is scheduled to perform “MAGIC” on SBS’s “Inkigayo,” airing on the 13th at 3:20 p.m.
