aespa Opens 'SYNK : COMPLaeXITY' World Tour with First Gocheok Sky Dome Concerts
August 9, 2026
aespa opened their fourth world tour with two concerts at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on August 7 and 8. The shows marked the group’s first performances at the venue since their debut and attracted a combined audience of approximately 35,000 fans. The concerts officially launched the group’s 2026–27 world tour, 'SYNK : COMPLaeXITY.' Following the Seoul opening, aespa is scheduled to continue the tour across 25 locations in Asia, North America, South America, and Europe. The production was built around the story introduced through aespa’s second full-length album, 'LEMONADE.' The central concept explored a crack between virtual and real worlds, with corrupted versions of ae-aespa appearing amid errors and instability. The concert developed this story across five stages: Singularity, Invasion, Imprisonment, Awakening, and Resolution. Instead of relying on frequent talk segments, aespa used carefully arranged VCRs, stage direction, and performances to carry the narrative. The members held only two extended talk segments, allowing the concert’s visual storytelling and music to maintain a continuous flow. The four members also highlighted their individual styles through solo performances. Karina performed the R&B dance track '16 Bit,' for which she participated in writing the lyrics. Winter presented 'Saddle Up,' while Giselle performed 'BYEB4HELLO' and Ningning delivered the ballad 'I Love You But I Gotta Let You Go.' New unit performances were also introduced during the concerts. Karina and Winter teamed up for 'Serenade,' while Giselle and Ningning performed 'Lollipop,' adding another dimension to the group’s first Gocheok Sky Dome shows. The 27-song setlist connected different chapters of aespa’s career, including performances of 'Black Mamba,' 'Next Level,' 'Armageddon,' and 'Supernova.' The group combined their established hits with material from 'LEMONADE,' solo stages, and newly revealed unit songs. With the Seoul concerts completed, aespa has begun the next stage of the 'SYNK : COMPLaeXITY' world tour. The upcoming schedule will take the group across Asia, the Americas, and Europe as they continue expanding the tour’s multiverse-inspired production on a global scale.
