PLAVE and milet Release Youth-Rock Single ‘Flame’
September 3, 2026
PLAVE and Japanese singer-songwriter milet released their first collaborative single, ‘Flame (feat. milet),’ on September 3rd at 6 PM JST and KST. PLAVE composed the song, while milet contributed vocals and lyrics, bringing the two artists’ musical styles together for the Japanese digital single. ‘Flame’ is a youth-rock track built around the J-band sound PLAVE introduced through their Japanese debut single, ‘かくれんぼ.’ Its driving guitar riff and hard-rock texture are combined with a melodic sense of momentum inspired by Japanese anime, expressing the uncertain but vivid energy of youth through the image of a blue flame. The music video was released alongside the single after an earlier teaser preview. It opens with PLAVE running after a soccer ball in scenes styled after 1990s Japanese animation. The complete video combines anime-inspired artwork, PLAVE’s virtual performances, and live-action footage of milet, visually connecting the song’s themes of motion, collaboration, and youthful determination. The collaboration also extends PLAVE’s activity in Japan following ‘かくれんぼ.’ Rather than treating milet’s appearance as a simple guest feature, the project reflects a creative exchange in which PLAVE shaped the composition and milet participated through both songwriting and vocals. PLAVE will next open their first world tour, ‘2026 PLAVE World Tour [KEEP IT MANIC],’ with two concerts at Incheon Munhak Main Stadium on September 12th and 13th. The tour will then continue through Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Macao, and the United States.
