John Park Connects With New York Audiences at 'K-Music Night'
August 27, 2026
John Park recently completed a well-received appearance at 'K-Music Night' in New York, bringing his distinctive soul and R&B sound to local audiences. The performance highlighted the growing international reach of Korean music beyond the idol industry and came ahead of his upcoming solo concert in Seoul.
Co-presented by the Korean Cultural Center New York and the Korea Creative Content Agency New York Center, 'K-Music Night 2026' was held at the Korean Cultural Center New York from August 13 to 16. John Park performed on August 13 and 14 as part of a lineup that also featured Jeena, OKDAL, and Yozoh.
The intimate theater offered approximately 190 seats, while more than 7,000 people reportedly applied to attend the event. Audience members were selected through a randomized lottery. Backed by a full band, John Park performed songs including 'Falling,' 'VISTA,' and 'DND,' connecting with the audience through his deep vocals, relaxed stage presence, and fluent English.
Following the performance, John Park reflected on the international growth of K-pop and Korean music. He expressed appreciation for the artists who helped establish a global platform for Korean music, while emphasizing that indie musicians and singer-songwriters with distinctive voices should also have more opportunities to reach overseas audiences. He described collaboration and diversity as important foundations for the continued growth of Korean music worldwide.
John Park has built his career by moving across R&B, soul, pop, and singer-songwriter styles rather than limiting himself to a single genre. He will continue that musical journey with his solo concert 'BREAK!,' scheduled for September 11 to 13 at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Seoul. The concert is expected to showcase his individual musical identity through a varied set and full-band performances.
