A2O SOUL to Release Debut Album ‘SUPERSTAR’ on November 9 with Dual Title Tracks
October 22, 2026
A2O SOUL, the 15-member boy group produced by Lee Soo-man, will release their debut album, ‘SUPERSTAR,’ on November 9 at 6 p.m. KST. The album follows the October 13 release of their pre-release single of the same name and will mark the next stage of the group’s activities under A2O Entertainment.
The five-track album includes the previously released ‘SUPERSTAR’ and a second title track, ‘Dancing in the Dark.’ The two songs will lead the group’s album promotions, while the remaining tracks will introduce more of their musical direction.
The album centers on a sound the group calls ‘NEW SYNTHWAVE.’ Drawing on the synthesizer-driven music of the 1980s, the approach reinterprets those sounds with a contemporary sensibility. A2O SOUL will develop this musical identity across the album’s five tracks.
Lee Soo-man oversaw the album’s musical direction and directly participated in selecting its songwriters. According to the agency, he brought in writers he had not previously collaborated with to explore new creative combinations.
The pre-release single ‘SUPERSTAR’ features contributions from Yoo Young-jin, HAAN and GENT!, among others. HAAN participated in writing The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s ‘STAY,’ while GENT!’s credits include music by Drake and Doja Cat. Their work on ‘SUPERSTAR’ combines synthesizer-led production with the group’s melodies and vocals.
The single has also recorded chart results in China. According to A2O Entertainment, ‘SUPERSTAR’ reached No. 2 on QQ Music’s new songs chart, No. 6 on its popular songs chart and No. 4 on its global music video chart. These are reported chart achievements rather than a statement of the song’s current positions.
With 15 members, A2O SOUL are developing their identity through music, performance and a fictional universe. Their first album will build on the sound introduced by the pre-release single, with ‘Dancing in the Dark’ offering another part of that introduction.
The physical album will be available in three editions: two photobook versions and one platform album version. Preorders are open through online and offline retailers. All five tracks will arrive on domestic and international streaming platforms on November 9 at 6 p.m. KST.
