June 29, 2026
Singer PSY successfully wrapped up the first performance of his 'PSYxHimppuk Show 2026' at the Uijeongbu Sports Complex, sharing the stage with over 33,000 fans. Guests Hwasa and Sung Si-kyung provided additional support.
On the 27th, PSY met with more than 33,000 audience members at the Uijeongbu Sports Complex, filling the summer night with the heat of his performance. The area around the stadium was packed with fans even before the show began. Dressed in blue and white—a dress code fitting for a refreshing summer festival—the audience filled the venue hours before the start, enjoying the festive atmosphere of a representative summer concert.
The highly anticipated opening video featured director Jang Hang-jun and actor Park Ji-hoon, who starred in the film 'The King and the Clown,' appearing alongside PSY. In a concept mimicking an audition for the movie, PSY engaged in a comedic acting duel with Park Ji-hoon, earning cheers from the crowd. Director Jang and his wife watched the performance from the audience seats.
PSY kicked off the show energetically with 'Nappalbaji' and 'Entertainer,' followed by a string of hit songs including 'That That,' 'New Face,' 'Paradise,' 'Gentleman,' 'What If,' 'Father,' and 'Gangnam Style,' heating up the venue. The 33,000+ fans responded with group singing and applause throughout, lighting up 'PSYlight' (LED knuckle bands) during emotional ballad segments, creating a spectacular moment where artist and audience united through the performance.
Guest stage highlights included Hwasa and Sung Si-kyung. Hwasa captivated the crowd with her charismatic performance and unique live vocals, showcasing 'Mungcheongi,' 'Maria,' 'Chili,' 'So Cute,' and 'Good Goodbye.' Sung Si-kyung, appearing alongside PSY for 'Hot Goodbye,' introduced himself as the 'safety device of Himppuk Show,' bringing laughter to the audience while delivering sweet vocal performances of 'Your Every Moment,' 'To You,' and 'On the Street.'
After the scheduled set, PSY continued with an enthusiastic encore featuring a dance medley, rock medley, 'Champion,' and 'Don't Worry About Me.' He closed the nearly four-hour show with 'Art is Love' as the finale, amidst explosive cheers.
At the end of the concert, PSY shared a message: 'I am someone with a very high happiness index. I think I will be happy for 65 days this year. Thank you for starting this happiness with me. For the remaining 64 days, I will remember today and be happy.'
Large-scale water cannons, dazzling lasers, and fireworks added to the excitement, turning the summer night venue into a massive water festival. PSY’s passionate performance, supported by impressive stage production and the energy of 33,000 fans, once again proved that 'Himppuk Show' is a brand-name concert representing Korea.
Following the Uijeongbu concert, PSY will continue 'PSYxHimppuk Show 2026' at the Daegu Stadium Auxiliary Field on July 4th and 5th. He is scheduled to perform a total of 14 concerts across nine cities: Incheon, Seoul Grand Park, Wonju, Suwon, Gwangju, Busan, and Daejeon.
