Solbi Releases 'Holiday' to Celebrate 20th Debut Anniversary

Singer and painter Solbi is embarking on a new musical journey to mark her 20th debut anniversary. On June 21 at noon, Solbi will release the digital single 'Holiday' across various online music platforms. This new track marks her first solo release in about two years since 'Monday Disco' in 2024, and her first comeback as a group member of Typhoon in about a year since 'Pongdang! Puk'. The single holds special significance as a commemorative release for Solbi, who is celebrating two decades since her debut.

Since debuting with the group Typhoon in 2006, Solbi has built her own unique space by balancing her activities as both a singer and a painter. Through consistent musical work, she has released new albums every year, leaving a strong impression on the public with her explosive vocal power and energetic performances on stage.

This single features a notable collaboration with performance director Gunjo, who served as the album's overall producer. Gunjo maximized Solbi's potential as a singer and her performance charm, completing a new musical synergy. The two artists, who have established their own individuality in their respective fields, are drawing high expectations for their chemistry in this work. Additionally, hit composer Park Hae-woon, known for DJ DOC's 'Dance with DOC' and 'Run To You' and COOL's 'Beer and Peanuts', participated in the project. Solbi also took part in writing the lyrics, weaving her own story into the song.

'Holiday' is a track based on Rock & Roll that modernly reinterprets pop elements. Its rhythmic beat and catchy melody, which anyone can easily sing along to, are impressive. Solbi's cool vocals and bright, cheerful energy further enhance the song's appeal. The accompanying images feature Solbi and Gunjo matching vintage denim jackets with patterned scarves. Set against a red brick building, the free-spirited mood and retro vibe highlight the energy of the song.

'Holiday' captures the desire to escape from repetitive daily life and go somewhere, positioning it as a seasonal song for this summer that will color listeners' playlists with the cheerful energy and catchy melody created by Solbi and Gunjo. Solbi and Gunjo, who are collaborating for the first time through this project, plan to appear together on various performance and festival stages in the future. The special synergy between the two artists, spanning music and performance, is highly anticipated. Meanwhile, Solbi's digital single 'Holiday' will be released on the 21st at noon.
