SHINee Returns with Sixth Mini Album Atmos, Carrying Steadfast Will and Hope

SHINee is making a comeback with their sixth mini album Atmos, uniting their diverse musical world. With the album’s release on June 1 expected, six tracks, including the title track Atmos, will be revealed to fans. The album includes HOURS, Possibility, Anti Believer, 소나기(Still Raining), and Thousand Miles Away, showing the members’ expanded musical spectrum. In particular, Possibility is an electronic pop track that layers alt-rock guitar over UK garage rhythms, and its lyrics express the will to believe in one’s possibilities and move forward even in fear. By contrast, Anti Believer is a dreamy, cool electronic pop track driven by keyboard samples and bass, delicately addressing the inner cracks that shake from doubt and hurt. In addition to the two mood-leading tracks, Thousand Miles Away is a mid-tempo ballad with emotive strings and drums, carrying a hopeful message that all past moments are meaningful records and that a brighter future can be imagined. Thus Atmos presents a message that starts from firm resolve and gradually converges toward hope through a colorful, diverse soundscape.

The mood sampler video will be released on SHINee's official SNS on May 27, leaving a strong visual impression with the image of light unfolding after rain. In the video, the members interlock as if completing the light, creating a new atmosphere together with the rain, drawing fans’ attention. The emotion contained in this mood sampler is interpreted as a signal previewing the album’s overall mood.

Atmos’ release is confirmed for June 1 at 6:00 PM. The album will be released online first, with preorder purchases also available in offline stores. Fans can enjoy SHINee’s new musical world by accessing both physical albums and digital music. In addition, from May 29 to 31, SHINee will meet fans at KSPO DOME in Seoul’s Olympic Park during '- The Trilogy I - 2026 SHINee WORLD VIII : [THE INVERT]', continuing the fan meetings. During this period, SHINee will engage with fans and experience Atmos’ atmosphere on site first.

Atmos showcases a varied musical direction. The energy rise in Possibility, the cold dreaminess of Anti Believer, and the lyricism of Thousand Miles Away each convey messages to the listener through different emotional lines. Lyrically, messages of not giving up in fear and the hopeful idea that past traces leave meaning intersect. The multi-layered musical world SHINee offers through Atmos is highly anticipated to meet fans’ expectations.
