August 31, 2026
TUIDE, a seven-member girl group launched by ABD, a new label under HYBE Music Group, has recorded a strong opening with their first EP, 'TUNE & PLAY.' The group consists of SEOHEE, SEOYEON, ELENA, JIA, SAKI, SEAH, and YI HANI. According to Hanteo Chart, 'TUNE & PLAY' sold 112,282 copies during its first week. The figure ranks 10th among girl group debut albums based on first-week sales and is the highest total recorded by a female act that debuted in Korea in 2026. The EP’s title track, 'SUN KISS,' also moved up several domestic music charts following TUIDE’s initial music-show performances. It reached No. 5 on Apple Music’s Today’s Top 100: South Korea chart on August 29, No. 6 on YouTube Korea’s Trending Music chart on August 30, and No. 24 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Korea chart on August 28 after climbing 159 positions. The 'SUN KISS' music video reached No. 1 on YouTube Korea’s Daily Popular Music Videos chart on August 27 and surpassed 10 million views by August 30. It also ranked No. 15 on YouTube’s global music video chart on August 28. On short-form platforms, videos using 'SUN KISS' and the B-side 'GRLS' each exceeded 40,000 posts on TikTok. The two songs also ranked No. 4 and No. 6, respectively, on Instagram’s Reels Trending Audio chart on August 30. Interest extended beyond the title track. All five songs from 'TUNE & PLAY' entered Melon’s Hot 100 on the release date and appeared on Apple Music’s Today’s Top 100: South Korea chart by August 29. Four tracks, with 'Echo' as the exception, also entered YouTube Korea’s Trending Music chart. Released on August 24, 'TUNE & PLAY' contains five tracks: 'ABD,' 'SUN KISS,' 'Echo,' 'Flip-Flop Girl,' and 'GRLS.' The EP introduces what the group calls “Soultronics,” a style combining elements of soul and electronic music while moving across R&B, house, and UK garage. Following their debut week, TUIDE is scheduled to appear on KBS Cool FM’s 'Paul Kim’s Gayo Plaza' on September 1.
