NCT 127 Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Seventh Album 'BLINGY'
August 27, 2026
NCT 127 has released their seventh full-length album, 'BLINGY,' in celebration of their 10th debut anniversary. Released on August 24, the nine-track album arrives two years after 'WALK' and reflects the group’s determination to reconnect with the ambition and identity that defined the beginning of their career.
The album artwork revisits the visual concept of NCT 127’s 2016 debut release, 'NCT #127,' while introducing a new color scheme. A map of Seoul is combined with the group’s signature neo-colored imagery, referencing NCT 127’s original concept of using Seoul as a starting point to reach audiences around the world. Taeyong explained that the design represents the group’s return to their roots, while Johnny described the album’s central idea as their original intention.
The promotional campaign also features walkie-talkie imagery and the phrase 'CALL 127,' creating a connection to the emergency-response concept of NCT 127’s debut song, 'Fire Truck.' Ten years later, the imagery has been reinterpreted to show that the group’s energy and experimental identity remain intact.
The title track, 'BLINGY,' is driven by a hip-hop rhythm combining synthesizers, heavy drums, chant-like choruses, rage, and dubstep elements. Its lyrics focus on unrelenting energy and the confidence to recognize one’s own brilliance. The song connects the fire imagery of 'Fire Truck' with the message that NCT 127’s drive has continued throughout their first decade.
NCT 127 is currently promoting with five members while Doyoung and Jungwoo complete their military service. Despite their temporary absence from active promotions, both members can be heard on the album’s eighth track, '127 Million Miles,' which features all seven current members.
The song uses the number 127 as a playful measure of distance and promises that the group and their fans will remain connected regardless of how far apart they may be. It also recalls 'Zero Mile' from NCT 127’s 2017 album 'Cherry Bomb,' expanding that earlier message from zero distance to 127 million miles. Through 'BLINGY,' NCT 127 looks back on the identity they established at debut while reaffirming their unity and direction for the years ahead.
