ILLIT to Make a Comeback with Fifth Mini Album ‘BREAK EVEN’… Title Track ‘I’ll Arrest You’
September 28, 2026
Group ILLIT is returning with its fifth mini album, showcasing a more self-directed musical identity. ILLIT will release ‘BREAK EVEN’ through major music platforms at 6 p.m. on October 26.
On the 28th, ILLIT (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha) unveiled the tracklist for the new release on its official social media channels. The album contains four tracks: the title song ‘I’ll Arrest You,’ along with ‘Super in Love,’ ‘More,’ and ‘Pop.’
The album title ‘BREAK EVEN’ refers to the point in a relationship where there is neither loss nor gain. After openly and fearlessly expressing their feelings, ILLIT tells the story of no longer investing their hearts and time in relationships that do not give back as much as they put in. The album captures their journey from following their feelings headfirst to choosing the direction of a relationship for themselves as they enter a new phase of love.
The title track ‘I’ll Arrest You’ delivers a bold warning to someone whose habitual kindness made the narrator misunderstand their intentions. Unlike their previous song ‘It’s Me,’ which declared, “I’m your favorite!”, the new track portrays ILLIT choosing the end of the relationship instead of continuing to fall for the other person. While retaining ILLIT’s signature candid and confident charm, it presents a more self-directed attitude toward love.
The tracks unfold along a single emotional arc. In ‘Super in Love,’ the narrator realizes that their feelings were an unrequited love. In ‘More,’ the embarrassment of having misunderstood the relationship turns into irritation. The emotions reach their peak in ‘I’ll Arrest You,’ as the narrator decides to cut ties with the other person. The final track, ‘Pop,’ reverses the mood as the narrator instantly falls for someone new who appears without warning.
HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk (“hitman” bang) is credited on all four songs. He is said to have strengthened the album’s overarching narrative by organically connecting the emotional progression of each track. The tracklist image uses a mail-inspired design labeled as being sent by the “Dept. of Daily Irritation,” while the members express the new concept through frowning expressions and piercing gazes.
ILLIT’s fifth mini album ‘BREAK EVEN,’ which captures changing emotions born at a turning point in a relationship, will be released on October 26.
