Onstage, Shijie and Yichen’s opening duet has caught fans’ attention. SBS Entertainment News highlighted Yichen’s one-legged turn during the synchronized sequence as a fan-favorite “killing part.”
On October 14, J-Black posted footage of the debut performance on Instagram, writing, “This is J-Black, and I participated in creating the opening choreography for A2O’s Shijie and Yichen.” He added that Lee Dong-gyu and Choi In-young of Cream Dance jointly contributed to the choreography and training, and asked fans to support A2O. The behind-the-scenes details have given fans another reason to revisit the striking opening.
Introduced by producer Lee Soo-man, A2O LITE is a nine-member multinational girl group. The act first performed “NEON” at its global debut show at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on October 12. Produced with the participation of Yoo Young-jin, the track builds on the group’s “Zalpha Pop” sound, combining heavy bass with distinctive vocals and a cappella. The repeated lyric “Neon and beyond” expresses the nine members’ ambition to keep moving forward.
A2O LITE is scheduled to give its first music show performance of “NEON” on Mnet’s M Countdown on October 15, bringing its debut-show performance to television as promotions get underway.
