NewJeans Celebrates 4th Debut Anniversary with 4-Member Special Film and Signs of Activity Resumption
2026년 7월 22일
A special moment unfolded to commemorate the 4th anniversary of NewJeans' debut. On the 22nd, their agency ADOR released a special film celebrating the milestone via the official NewJeans YouTube channel at midnight. This content, produced by all four members for the first time in about a year and four months since their Hong Kong ComplexCon performance last March, has drawn high expectations from the fandom, Bunnyz.
The released video captures Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein gathering one by one against a summer night backdrop. The four members, standing together and holding hands while looking in the same direction, completed NewJeans' signature refreshing and dreamy atmosphere. Each member's segment featured a rabbit, symbolizing the fandom, adding emotional depth. Minji, driving a pickup truck, folded a flyer found at a gas station into a rabbit shape, while a rabbit drawing appeared in Hanni's music production screen. Haerin went out with a rabbit-shaped bag to view rabbit-form media art, and Hyein chose a rabbit-shaped ice cream at an ice cream shop called 'The Bunnyz Scoop.' The video subtly planted the message that despite the long hiatus, their hearts for fans remain unchanged.
Particularly, the video drew attention as it featured Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein, who have confirmed their return to ADOR, as well as Minji, whose future is still being discussed. Following the inclusion of Minji in the official NewJeans account's May birthday content, her participation in the 4th-anniversary video has led to speculation that the return discussions are nearing a positive conclusion. However, ADOR explained that this content was produced to commemorate the debut day with fans, drawing a line against over-interpretation. NewJeans plans to sequentially release additional content following this special film.
On the same day, Danielle also shared her recent updates on social media. Alongside a photo taken against a blue lake background, she left an English message: 'Life sometimes becomes blurry, but the light always returns. I hope we continue to shine until then. Always grateful.' As this post was uploaded on the day of NewJeans' 4th debut anniversary, fans' attention focused on it. Since the members who once debuted as a team are celebrating this milestone on different occasions, the future moves of the four NewJeans members and Danielle are being closely watched.
