Rookie boy group MODYSSEY has marked a milestone right from their debut. Based on Hanteo Chart's weekly album chart (April 13–19), MODYSSEY recorded first-week sales totaling 302,026 copies, earning a top-two finish among 2026 debut acts. The achievement underscores that the group's narrative—shaped by two audition programs—has translated into tangible results. MODYSSEY released their debut single '1.Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony' on April 13 at 6 p.m., and consists of seven members: 헝위, 판저이, 리즈하오, 린린, 수런, 이첸, 로완. With solid skills honed through two audition programs, they drew the attention of a global fanbase. In particular, their pre-reality show 'SAY SAY MODYSSEY' is cited as a cornerstone of their cohesion. The energetic stage production, the detailed stage design reflecting the song's world, and camera direction contributed to an unusually high level of polish for a rookie group. MODYSSEY has also shown notable affection for fan interaction, expanding their fandom through record-breaking events. They trended on X (formerly Twitter) in real time. The road ahead has already begun: MODYSSEY will perform at KCON JAPAN 2026 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, from May 8–10, and on May 30 they will participate in the Mega Concert at Inspire Arena on Yeongjongdo, Incheon. With a busy debut week and plans for global stages, MODYSSEY is expected to continue delivering high-energy performances and a variety of concepts in future activities.
