TUNEXX has returned with their second mini album, 'BLUE MODE,' marking the group’s first comeback approximately six months after their debut. The seven-member group released the album on September 2nd at 6 p.m. KST. TUNEXX debuted on March 3rd with their first mini album, 'SET BY US ONLY,' making 'BLUE MODE' their second mini album rather than their debut release. The new album follows seven young people as they confront their emotions and become more deeply connected. It contains four tracks: the title track 'BLUE MODE,' 'SYNC UP,' 'ANSWER,' and 'OVER X.' Several members participated in writing lyrics across the project. Ahead of the release, Japanese member Taira and Thai member Artic discussed the experiences that led them to pursue careers as K-pop artists in Korea. Both began with an interest in dance before finding inspiration in senior artists who had built international careers. Taira said watching NCT’s Taeyong inspired him to become a K-pop idol. He attended Taeyong’s performances five times and later challenged himself to pursue the same kind of stage career. Taira also contributed lyrics to the title track 'BLUE MODE,' aiming to use direct language that listeners could understand easily. Artic named GOT7’s BamBam as his biggest influence. Seeing Thai artists debut and work in Korea encouraged him to imagine following a similar path. He also credited his parents with consistently supporting his decision to train and debut abroad. The two members now hope to perform with TUNEXX on major stages in their home countries. Taira identified Tokyo Dome as a personal goal after previously seeing NCT 127 perform there. Artic said he wants TUNEXX to hold a large performance in Thailand where he can invite his family, friends, and former teachers. With 'BLUE MODE,' TUNEXX is beginning their first comeback while Taira and Artic continue working toward the international stages that originally inspired them.
