걸그룹 이프아이, 세 번째 EP 'As if'로 8개월 만에 컴백…타이틀곡 'Hazy(Daisy)' 포함 5곡 수록

Girl group 이프아이 returned to the music scene with their third EP 'As if'. 이프아이 released the new EP on the 15th at 6 p.m. and launched full-scale comeback activities. This marks their first comeback in about eight months since promoting their second mini album in July last year.

하이헷엔터테인먼트 said the hiatus was used not as rest but as a time for leap forward. While expanding contact with overseas fans through global fan sign events, fan concerts and various festival stages, the team also reorganized its system — including a complete replacement of the production team — to overhaul music, performance and visuals and refine the group's identity. The agency described the album as a turning point that will show 이프아이's musical direction and team color as they make a further leap.

'As if' contains five tracks including the title track 'Hazy(Daisy)', as well as '아윌 비 데어(I'll Be There)', '파담 파담(Padam Padam)', '터치(Touch)' and the fan song '포에버 어스(Forever Us)'. The title track 'Hazy(Daisy)' is a pop number with an energetic rhythm and a dreamy, easy-listening sensibility that captures the thrills of falling in love.

Members emphasized that they grew as artists by voicing their own opinions during the project. 카시아 said, 'I felt that I grew as an artist while working on this album. I had many opportunities to give my input and actively exchange ideas with the production team.' 라희 added, 'There were things we couldn't voice in the first and second albums, but in the third album we were finally able to give our opinions, which made me happy. During the hiatus we talked a lot and I think we became stronger as artists.' 라희 also remarked on the music video shoot, saying, 'Personally, the members looked so beautiful that it was almost painful,' signaling that the video was completed to emphasize each member's charm.

Meanwhile, 이프아이 halted activities in March due to member 샤샤's health issues and is currently promoting as a five-member unit. The members said they increased practice time to cover the absence and have prepared their individual vocals and performances for the stage.

Having passed their first debut anniversary, 이프아이 has also built international recognition, including being named to NME's '2026 Essential Emerging Artists 100'. The members said they aim for a music show first place, more overseas festival stages and ultimately a Coachella performance. 태린 stated, 'I definitely want to achieve a music show first place.'
