EVAN, formerly known as ENHYPEN member Heeseung, has unveiled new concept photos for his first mini album, ‘DEATH OF ME.’ Released on August 30, the ‘EXPLOSION’ version photos portray EVAN breaking through the boundaries that once confined him and emerging as his true self. Fragments and ashes swirl around him, representing an inner world that has burst open, while his calm expression conveys a sense of freedom after the explosion. ‘DEATH OF ME’ will be released on September 7 at 6 PM. The album follows EVAN as he confronts complex emotions, takes control of them, and chooses to move forward. The eight-track release spans several genres. Its title track, ‘Death of Me,’ is built around pop R&B, while the rest of the album explores alternative rock, UK garage-inspired pop, dream pop, and other sounds. EVAN also took a leading role in producing the album, placing his own musical identity and emotions at the center of the project. Anticipation has continued to grow ahead of the release. A track sampler featuring previews from the album drew positive responses from listeners, while ‘DEATH OF ME’ reached No. 4 on Spotify’s Countdown Chart Global, which ranks upcoming releases based on weekly pre-save activity. In March, Heeseung announced his departure from ENHYPEN to pursue a solo career. BELIFT LAB said it respected his decision and future musical direction. He then began a new chapter under the name EVAN, releasing his first single, ‘RIDE OR DIE,’ on June 22. ‘DEATH OF ME’ will now mark his first full mini-album project as a solo artist.
