CORTIS’ ‘GREENGREEN’ Surpasses 4.1 Million Copies, Achieves Quadruple-Million-Seller Status
2026년 9월 17일
CORTIS’ second mini album, ‘GREENGREEN,’ has surpassed 4 million copies in cumulative sales, making it a quadruple million-seller. Achieving this milestone with a single album just about a year after debut, the feat highlights both the group’s rapid growth and sustained album demand.
According to the latest weekly album chart released by Circle Chart on the 17th, ‘GREENGREEN’ recorded approximately 4.1 million copies in cumulative sales during the tracking period from September 6 to 12. This year, only two albums released in South Korea have surpassed 4 million copies in cumulative sales: CORTIS’ ‘GREENGREEN’ and BTS’ ‘Arirang.’
‘GREENGREEN’ showed strong momentum immediately after its release in May. Based on Hanteo Chart figures, first-week sales reached 2,313,291 copies—approximately five times the 436,467 copies sold in the first week of the group’s previous album, ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES.’ The album then surpassed 3 million copies in cumulative Circle Chart sales just 11 weeks after release, adding another million copies in about two months and demonstrating sustained long-term sales.
Interest in the album’s music also contributed to its sales performance. The title track ‘REDRED’ and b-side ‘YOUNGCREATORCREW’ received positive responses for their fresh sound and lyrics. Various merchandise-linked album products connected to the album’s concept—including an LP, lip balm, dice, and a CORTIS ball—also increased the collectible value of the physical release. In August, the group released the expanded edition ‘GREENGREEN_playextended,’ adding the new tracks ‘PACK IT UP’ and ‘MONEYMONEYMONEY’ and reigniting interest in the second mini album.
The album has also maintained a strong presence on global charts. ‘GREENGREEN’ debuted at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 dated May 23, reportedly marking the fastest entry into the top three after debut among K-pop groups, excluding project groups. On the chart dated September 19, it ranked No. 188, extending its chart run to 18 consecutive weeks. The title track ‘REDRED’ has also surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on global audio streaming platform Spotify.
Sales of the group’s debut album have continued as well. ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,’ released in September last year, has recorded approximately 2.3 million copies in cumulative Circle Chart sales, including about 1 million copies sold this year alone. As a result, CORTIS has surpassed 6.4 million cumulative album sales across two releases just over a year after debut. CORTIS is scheduled to perform at Rock in Japan Festival 2026 at Soga Sports Park in Chiba, Japan, on the 20th, and at ‘SBS Inkigayo Live in Tokyo’ at Belluna Dome in Saitama, Japan, on the 22nd.
