TXT Holds Surprise Practice-Room Stage After New York Festival Cancellation
2026년 9월 27일
TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) held a surprise live performance at an indoor practice room in New York after a U.S. music festival was canceled due to severe weather. The group had been scheduled to appear at the 2026 Global Citizen Festival at New York’s Central Park on the 26th (local time). As the only Korean artist in this year’s lineup, TXT was set to open the festival, while Yeonjun was scheduled to perform a solo stage. However, the event was canceled because of local weather conditions.
Wanting to show fans the performance they had prepared, the members quickly rented an indoor practice room. The “New York Practice-Room Festival,” held via Weverse Live at 9 a.m. on the 27th, also featured the dancers who had prepared the original festival stage with them. Although the venue and stage conditions were different, the performance arrangement they had originally prepared continued in the practice room.
During the broadcast, the members said, “We worked so hard preparing this, so we felt bad that we couldn’t show it to you, which is why we rented the practice room,” adding, “Only the space has changed—we have everything properly set up. As long as we have music and microphones, we can work hard anywhere.” Without elaborate stage equipment or LED screens, the performance used fixed cameras to capture the members’ movements and chemistry up close. TOMORROW X TOGETHER continued the spirit of the performance they had prepared with dynamic choreography and live vocals.
The broadcast featured five songs in total, including “Blue Hour,” “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat. Seori,” and a cover of Justin Bieber’s “Beauty And A Beat.” In particular, the gugak-inspired arrangement of “Sugar Rush Ride” featured outfits incorporating hanbok and choreography infused with Korean elements.
Yeonjun also took the stage for a solo performance. He continued the solo set prepared for the festival with “Talk to You,” “Ice Cream,” and a cover of Post Malone’s “Sunflower.” Near the end of the show, a comeback spoiler video appeared with the phrase, “We need something different from what we’ve done so far.” While specific details remain unknown, the video sparked interest among fans awaiting the group’s new activities.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER will kick off their new world tour, “TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR ‘STEAL THE WIND,’” at Seoul’s KSPO DOME in Olympic Park from November 13 to 15. They will then meet audiences across Asia, Japan, North America, and Europe. In December, the group and Yeonjun as a solo artist are also scheduled to participate separately in the 2026 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour stops in New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C.
