RIIZE Release ‘Insomnia,’ Highlighting Delicate Vocals and Emotional Acting
2026년 10월 26일
RIIZE released their acoustic pop single ‘Insomnia’ at midnight KST on October 26, 2026, with the music video arriving simultaneously. The song brings the six members’ voices to the foreground through restrained, poignant singing and carefully balanced harmonies.
Built around lyrical acoustic guitar, ‘Insomnia’ captures a quiet, lonely atmosphere. Its lyrics trace thoughts of someone that become clearer as the night deepens, along with the complicated emotions that follow.
In a Q&A shared by SM Entertainment on October 25, SHOTARO recalled liking the song immediately and asking to hear it repeatedly. He worked on vocal delivery, tone and rap through lessons, while the members practiced balancing their voices so the harmonies would blend naturally.
SUNGCHAN said the demo’s gentle warmth moved him, prompting him to focus on tone and inflection so each lyric’s emotion would come through. SOHEE singled out the guitar sound and explained that he worked to make his vocals stand out within the song’s darker mood.
The members also highlighted the interplay between their voices. EUNSEOK chose the group’s harmonies as the standout feature and described BRIIZE, their official fan club, as a source of strength and comfort. WONBIN said the naturally flowing harmonies helped him connect more deeply with the song’s emotions.
ANTON pointed to the change in atmosphere when the beat enters during WONBIN’s first verse after SOHEE’s calm opening. He also related to the chorus’s depiction of staying awake until morning, saying listeners might recognize the experience themselves.
The music video presents stories of sleepless people through cinematic, drama-style storytelling. SHOTARO recalled cutting his hair short and trying special-effects makeup for the first time. Acting out screams and tears was challenging, but an acting coach helped him find the emotions on set. EUNSEOK described the scenes requiring him to communicate through his eyes as a demanding new experience.
Looking ahead, WONBIN hoped the song would give listeners room to fully experience their own emotions. SOHEE wanted it to become a song associated with RIIZE’s vocals, while ANTON hoped it would bring back memories of 2026 even years later.
