SF9 Releases Second Full-Length Album 'TENACITY' for 10th Anniversary

SF9 is celebrating their 10th anniversary year with the release of their second full-length album, 'TENACITY.' The group held a media showcase at the Cube Convention Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on August 26, shortly before releasing the album at 6 PM. 'TENACITY' is SF9's first full-length album in more than six years, following 'FIRST COLLECTION' in 2020.

During the showcase, SF9 reflected on the decade they have spent together and expressed gratitude to FANTASY, their official fandom. Inseong said the milestone still felt surprising and credited the fans who have supported the group throughout their career. He added that SF9 hopes to maintain that momentum and continue performing together through their 60th anniversary.

Jaeyoon responded playfully to the long-term goal by suggesting that the members could eventually hold a 60th-anniversary dinner show. Despite the joke, the members made it clear that they remain serious about continuing their journey together for many years.

The members identified perseverance, mutual understanding, and a shared love of music as the forces that have sustained SF9. Youngbin said the group has been able to continue because of the people who support them, while Inseong emphasized that the members have learned to understand one another despite coming from different backgrounds. Their shared goal of remaining singers and performers has helped keep the group moving in the same direction.

Dawon also spoke candidly about the ambition that continues to drive SF9. He said the group has not yet reached the consistent level of results or scale they ultimately want. Rather than viewing that feeling negatively, he described their remaining sense of thirst as a reason to keep pursuing larger stages, stronger results, and greater musical fulfillment.

The album title 'TENACITY' represents perseverance, determination, and an indomitable will, while the word 'TEN' also reflects the group's 10th anniversary. Jaeyoon said the members had wanted to release another full-length album for a long time and repeatedly expressed that goal to their company. He explained that they approached the album with what he described as 120 percent passion, investing themselves fully in the recording, choreography, visual production, and preparation.

Youngbin said the album could help SF9 define the next stage of their musical direction. The title track, 'Without Wings,' is an Afrobeat-based pop song built around rhythmic grooves, lively percussion, a catchy hook, and a dynamic vocal progression. Its message follows SF9 as they prepare to rise beyond their limits without relying on wings. Hwiyoung said he wanted the song to communicate a sense of hope that matched its title and concept.

Inseong added that the members wanted to demonstrate how much they have developed not only as a team but also as individual musicians. He said their music, lyrics, performances, and vocals create their strongest synergy when combined, while each member has also grown capable of leading a stage independently.

Looking ahead, SF9 said they hope to earn a music show win with 'Without Wings' and eventually perform at Wembley Stadium in London. They will continue their anniversary celebrations with '2026 SF9 LIVE FANTASY #6 Chukmong' at KBS Arena in Seoul on October 10th and 11th. With 'TENACITY,' SF9 is presenting their first decade not as a conclusion, but as the foundation for their next chapter.
