TWS offer a glimpse of youthful courage and their heartfelt connection with fans in the music video teaser for ‘Call My Name.’ Their second single album, ‘TO US,’ and the title track’s music video will be released on November 2 at 6 p.m. KST.
The first teaser was released through the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel and TWS’s official social media accounts on October 28. SHINYU, DOHOON, YOUNGJAE, HANJIN, JIHOON and KYUNGMIN appear in scenes of mutual support as they prepare to face the world ahead.
The video explores what drives someone to risk everything to feel alive. Scenes of the members dancing freely, looking toward the sky, embracing and leaning on one another unfold in quick succession. Moments of quiet reflection by a rain-streaked window give way to breathless running, capturing young people throwing themselves into the moment.
Musically, ‘Call My Name’ combines piano melodies featuring jazz pianist Yoon Seok-cheol with a propulsive drum-and-bass rhythm. The teaser pairs the rising emotion of the music with expressive hand movements, previewing part of the song’s choreography.
The song conveys the courage that comes from having someone who believes in you. YOUNGJAE, SHINYU and DOHOON contributed to the lyrics, which express the members’ determination to give their all onstage for their fandom, 42. Their commitment to responding to fans’ trust through performance sits at the heart of the track.
‘TO US’ contains three songs: ‘Call My Name,’ ‘WE UP’ and ‘heavy.’ Across the single album, TWS share their ambitions for bigger stages, affection for fans and words of comfort for young people navigating the pressures of life.
Previewed in the highlight medley, ‘WE UP’ combines a Miami bass rhythm with synthesizer bass and pad sounds, expressing the group’s determination to reach greater heights. ‘heavy’ brings together mellow pop sounds and emotive vocals to offer warmth to those feeling weighed down by the world.
From the courage found in someone’s support to the drive to move forward and the comfort of standing together, the three tracks explore different sides of the group’s message. ‘TO US’ will arrive on music platforms on November 2 at 6 p.m. KST, alongside the music video for ‘Call My Name.’
