NOWZ is a five-member boy band consisting of 현빈, 윤, 연우, 진혁, and 시윤, and is kicking off full-scale activities in Japan. Cube Entertainment, the group’s agency, officially announced their Japan debut on the 29th and said that their first mini album in Japan, an EP, would be titled NOWZ. The EP’s release date is set for March 4, and the title track will be AMMO (feat. YRD Leo). AMMO is described as a powerful and dramatic hip-hop track, with Japanese rapper YRD Leo contributing as a feature to enhance its quality. The EP is expected to include five tracks, and its tracklist will include Japanese versions of previously released songs alongside AMMO.
Local fan meetings are also planned, with a mini live and benefit events at Tower Records Shibuya in Tokyo on March 5–6, and fan events at Lalaport Tokyo Bay on March 7–8.
Two outlets reported different track lists, causing some confusion. One outlet listed, in addition to AMMO, tracks expected to be included in Japanese versions such as HomeRUN, GET BUCK, 이름 짓지 않은 세상에, 자유롭게 날아; another outlet reported a five-track lineup including HomeRUN, Get Buck, Run with me, Fly to the youth. While the track configurations differ, both reports confirm that Japanese versions will be included and that AMMO will be a central feature.
NOWZ’s Japan debut news raises expectations for the group’s international expansion. The team debuted in Korea in April 2024, and in October last year Billboard named them a ‘K-pop Rookie of the Month.’ It was also reported that the title track EVERGLOW from last year’s mini album IGNITION was included in the 2025 staff picks for best K-pop. The group NOWZ embodies the idea that the letter z represents infinite expansion of possibilities, and the Japan venture is regarded as the second phase for the team. Recently, in November 2025 they released their third single Play Ball, continuing activities at home and abroad.
Along with activities in Japan, future schedules are also drawing attention. Starting with the March 4 release of NOWZ’s Japan EP, fan meetings and local activities are expected to intensify. All eyes are on what color and charm NOWZ will add to win the hearts of Japanese music fans.
