NewJeans’ “ASAP” has surpassed 200 million cumulative streams on Spotify. The track from their second EP, “Get Up,” adds another milestone to the group’s growing list of streaming achievements.
According to reports published on October 6 citing Spotify figures, “ASAP” had reached 200,023,211 streams as of October 4, becoming NewJeans’ 13th song to pass the 200 million mark. Citing an announcement from the group’s agency, ADOR, OSEN reported the same total and noted that the track reached the milestone roughly three years and two months after “Get Up” was released in July 2023.
Built on a Europop sound, “ASAP” combines rhythmic synths with the members’ languid vocals. Playful, bubbly lyrics and a dreamy atmosphere give the song its distinctive character. AtStyle described its short, repetitive lyrics and mood as a continuation of the overall feel of “Get Up.”
The music video brings that atmosphere to life, showing the members as blonde fairies running freely through a forest, with illustrations and animated effects woven into the visuals. The fairy concept complements the rhythmic sound and relaxed vocals, reinforcing the song’s dreamlike quality.
The milestone also adds to NewJeans’ overall streaming record. Their released songs have collectively surpassed 8.1 billion streams on Spotify, with tracks across multiple albums and singles continuing to rack up hundreds of millions of plays.
Song-by-song figures reported by Star News and TenAsia show that “Ditto,” “OMG” and “Super Shy” have each exceeded 900 million streams. “Hype Boy” has surpassed 800 million, while “New Jeans” and “Attention” have each topped 500 million, and “ETA” has passed 400 million. As the group’s signature tracks continue to draw listeners, “ASAP” joins those with more than 200 million streams.
“Cookie,” “How Sweet” and “Hurt” have each surpassed 300 million streams. “Cool With You,” “Supernatural” and “ASAP” have each exceeded 200 million, while “Get Up,” “Bubble Gum” and “Right Now” have each passed 100 million. These milestones across the group’s catalog reflect sustained interest in their music.
Reports also highlighted the chart achievements of “Get Up.” According to AtStyle, the EP debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 upon its release in 2023 and remained on the chart for 25 consecutive weeks. At the time, it was only the second album by a K-pop girl group to spend at least 25 weeks on the chart.
With “ASAP” now surpassing 200 million Spotify streams, “Get Up” has added another milestone to its chart success. Having 13 songs above 200 million streams and more than 8.1 billion streams across all released tracks underscores NewJeans’ cumulative streaming achievements.
