BBGIRLS Returns with New Single 'BODY WAVE' and Revives 'Original Summer Queen' Status

Group BBGIRLS is making a comeback to the music scene with a new summer song. Preparing to take responsibility for the public's playlists this summer, they are previewing healthy and bright energy that will instantly dispel the heat. According to their agency GLG, BBGIRLS (Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna) will officially release their new single 'BODY WAVE' on the 16th at 6 PM via various online music sites. This new track is a welcome result, marking their first release in about 1 year and 2 months since their remake song 'Hopes and Wishes' in May of last year.

In anticipation of the comeback, Minyoung's personal concept photo, released as the first teaser via their official social networking service (SNS) on the 8th, raised expectations for the new song to the highest level. In the photo, Minyoung showcases her solid healthy beauty in a sporty crop outfit against the backdrop of a blue swimming pool. In a cut where she matched a white top with black shorts, she created a sophisticated yet chic atmosphere. Her confident gaze into the lens and refreshing styling vividly display BBGIRLS' unique positive team color, evoking the exclamation 'Summer is definitely BBGIRLS.'

Previously, BBGIRLS communicated directly with fans by announcing their comeback through a live broadcast on their official YouTube channel on the 1st. 'BODY WAVE,' whose title itself exudes a summer vibe, is a song filled with BBGIRLS' cool and refreshing sensibility, foreshadowing the birth of another powerful summer song. Since their debut in 2011, BBGIRLS has received overwhelming public support through the consecutive reverse-charting legends of mega-hit songs 'Rollin'' and 'We Ride.' After restarting as a trio under their current agency GLG in 2024, they released their second single 'LOVE 2,' demonstrating their strength by causing another reverse-charting syndrome.

Then, in May of last year, they remade Jin-sun Byun's 'Hopes and Wishes' with direct lyric contributions from the members, offering a nostalgic feeling to the original song's generation and a fresh retro vibe to the MZ generation. They also solidified their bond with fans by successfully concluding their first official fan meeting. BBGIRLS has been conquering the summer music scene with catchy, addictive music and distinctive performances in every activity. With their unique confident energy, attention is focused on what thrilling sensation the group will bring back after a 1 year and 2 month hiatus through their new song 'BODY WAVE.'
