IVE Unveils “Looks Can Kill” MV Teaser Featuring Six Heroes in Their Signature Colors

IVE has teased the arrival of six heroes in the music video teaser for its new song “Looks Can Kill.” Suits featuring each member’s signature color, distinctive characters, wire stunts and striking visual effects introduce the group’s new “Girl Hero” concept.
Starship Entertainment released the title track’s music video teaser through IVE’s official social media channels on the 17th. Evoking a superhero movie set, the clip rapidly cuts between sword-wielding standoffs, aerial wire stunts and powerful landings. Each member plays a hero with different abilities, showcasing her individuality through dynamic action.
An Yujin’s lightning-wielding scene adds a dramatic touch. Another shot shows all six members extending their hands on a dark street, with sparks bursting from their fingertips as they make shooting gestures, bringing the distinct heroes together.
The first teaser, released on the 16th, opened with the members preparing for filming—getting their hair and makeup done, adjusting their outfits and posing for the camera. Dressed in hero suits in their signature colors, IVE then strode confidently through a street lined with burning cars and cracked pavement. The clip ended with preparations for wire stunts, a clapperboard and the director’s call of “Action!”
Behind-the-scenes stills released alongside the first teaser showed the members relaxing in the waiting room and joking with one another. The photos also introduced six hero names: Captain Purple, Wonder Green, Jin Yellow, Bat Pink, Super Blue and Spider Red.
“Looks Can Kill” combines heavy, gritty bass with drums and rich electronic sounds. Capturing IVE’s confidence in commanding attention simply by showing up, the song pairs a repeated chorus and witty lyrics with an addictive melody. The teaser’s intense action hints at the bold energy of the upcoming track.
The new mini album of the same name introduces “Girl Hero” as another alter ego following Cupid and magical girl concepts. Through this spin-off project, IVE expands its ongoing message of self-assurance. Built around the idea that anyone can be the protagonist and hero of their own life, it will unfold a new story featuring the six members’ distinct personalities.
IVE will pre-release the title track “Looks Can Kill” on the 19th at 6 p.m. KST, followed by the official release of the mini album on the 26th.
