Red Velvet’s Wendy will return with a new solo album this November, roughly 14 months after releasing her third mini album, “Cerulean Verge,” last September. Having explored a range of sounds through solo releases, soundtracks and live performances, she is drawing anticipation for what she will bring to her next project.
Her agency, ASND, announced the November release on October 14. “Wendy has consistently proven her musical abilities through her outstanding vocals and nuanced expression, and she will showcase a different side of her charm with this new release,” the agency said. “Please look forward to it and show your support.”
Released in September 2025, “Cerulean Verge” featured six tracks, including the title track “Sunkiss,” and showcased a diverse musical palette. The upcoming album marks welcome news for fans who have been waiting for more of Wendy’s solo music.
Wendy debuted with Red Velvet in 2014 and launched her solo career in 2021 with her first mini album, “Like Water.” She followed it with “Wish You Hell” and “Cerulean Verge,” continuing to build a catalog centered on her distinctive voice. Her November release will add another chapter to her solo career alongside her group activities.
She has also lent her voice to numerous soundtracks, including “FLY,” “Just One Word,” “Daydream” and “My Everything,” showcasing her signature emotion and vocal skill. Her work conveying characters’ feelings through music has further heightened expectations for the expressive depth of her new album.
Wendy also connected with fans at home and abroad through her first solo world tour, “W:EALIVE,” last year. According to the Korea JoongAng Daily, the tour began with Seoul concerts on September 20 and 21 before visiting Taiwan, Japan, the United States, Thailand, Malaysia, Macao and the Philippines. She wrapped up the tour with two encore concerts in Seoul on February 28 and March 1 this year.
More recently, she appeared as a special guest at “Disney Hits LIVE!” at the Taipei Music Center, performing songs from Disney titles including “Mulan,” “Frozen” and “High School Musical.”
Wendy currently also connects with listeners as the host of SBS PowerFM’s “Wendy’s Young Street.” As she continues her activities across recording, live performance and radio, attention is turning to the music she will share this November.
