Tiffany Young, formerly of Girls' Generation, is set to release her debut solo studio album, 'Edge of Calm,' on August 20. This release follows the recent news of her marriage to actor Byun Yo-han, marking her first solo studio album in 19 years since her debut.
Tiffany Young revealed the schedule poster for 'Edge of Calm' via her official SNS on the 13th, announcing the album's release date. The poster features a stylish logo for 'Edge of Calm' alongside Tiffany's restrained styling and deep gaze. The design captures the album's atmosphere of coexisting tension and tranquility, blending sophisticated design and visuals to spark curiosity about her debut solo studio album.
'Edge of Calm' is a work that captures moments where subtle tension before silence, focus, and emotional balance intersect. It conveys the album's message by incorporating 'Edge' (symbolizing tension and immersion) and 'Calm' (meaning emotional balance and tranquility) into the sound, visuals, and overall emotion. Notably, Tiffany Young participated directly in the entire production process, including concept planning, styling, visual directing, and music video storytelling, infusing her own musical identity.
According to the release plan, pre-orders for the album will begin on the 30th, followed by sequential teasing content including an audio snippet on August 5, visual photos on the 7th and 11th, and a music video teaser on the 17th. The album and music video will be unveiled on August 20 at 6 PM, signaling Tiffany Young's full-scale comeback.
Previously, Tiffany Young received praise for her mysterious, dreamy atmosphere and deep vocals with the pre-release track 'Summer's Not Over,' her first new song in 10 years since her domestic solo album release. Through 'Edge of Calm,' Tiffany Young plans to further reveal her artistic sensibility and identity beyond music activities, presenting a firm direction of her own.
Tiffany Young developed a romantic relationship with actor Byun Yo-han, who co-starred with her in the Disney+ series 'Uncle Sam-sik' in 2024. The couple, who announced they were dating with marriage in mind in December last year, filed their marriage registration on February 27 and officially became husband and wife, receiving much congratulations.
