SM Entertainment's boy group NCT 127 is making a comeback with their 7th studio album, 'BLINGY,' to celebrate their 10th anniversary. The group officially announced on August 24 that they will release the album at 6 PM KST. The new record features nine tracks that capture NCT 127's unique musical identity and style.
This album holds special significance as it is released following a restructuring of the group's lineup. Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Do Young, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan have all renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment, continuing their journey together based on the teamwork and trust built over the past decade. As the first album released after these contract renewals, 'BLINGY' carries even greater meaning.
The album reflects NCT 127's journey over the past ten years and outlines their future direction. The members aim to convey a message of pride in their team and their commitment to moving forward as 'One Team.'
NCT 127 debuted in July 2016 with the ambition of expanding from Seoul to the global stage. Since then, they have consistently released distinctive music, including hits like 'Fire Truck,' 'Cherry Bomb,' 'Regular,' 'Kick It,' 'Sticker,' 'Fact Check,' and 'Walk.' Through four world tours, they have graced stadiums, domes, and arenas, earning the title 'God of Performance' for their live and performance capabilities.
Looking ahead, NCT 127 will kick off their fifth world tour, 'NEO CITY - THE REDLINE,' in September, reconnecting with fans worldwide. Meanwhile, Mark, the group's main rapper, ended his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment in April and officially departed from NCT 127. Fans are eagerly anticipating the music and stages NCT 127 will present through their new album and upcoming tour.
