RESCENE is building anticipation for its comeback with a preview of the varied moods and musk-inspired concept of its new album. The group’s fourth mini album, ‘PULSE,’ arrives November 3 at 6 p.m. KST, promising a sensory experience that brings music and fragrance together.
On October 26, RESCENE released the album’s highlight medley through its official social media accounts. The video pairs visuals showcasing the distinct charms of Woni, Liv, Minami, May, and Zena with excerpts from all five tracks, giving fans an early taste of the full album.
‘PULSE’ features the title track ‘With,’ alongside ‘Finest Thing,’ ‘Dragon,’ ‘Inside Out,’ and ‘MEME.’ From addictive hooks to gentle, lyrical melodies, the medley reveals a different mood for each song, sparking curiosity about the full versions.
The B-sides have also drawn attention. Ilgan Sports reported fan reactions singling out ‘Finest Thing’ as a standout, highlighting comments expressing excitement for the new release and music that carries forward the group’s identity. Previewing the B-sides alongside the title track has further heightened interest in the album as a whole.
Musk is the signature scent running through ‘PULSE.’ Continuing its approach of connecting music with fragrance, RESCENE uses musk to express the shared warmth between the stage and the audience. That image captures the warmth and emotional exchange between performers and fans, tying into the album’s theme of connection.
In a report by OSEN, a representative explained, ‘We expressed the body warmth shared by the stage and the audience through the scent of musk.’ The representative also voiced hopes that RESCENE’s distinctive music and emotion would linger in listeners’ hearts, much like musk’s subtle yet lasting impression. The album connects those qualities of the fragrance with the group’s evocative musical style.
‘PULSE’ takes its name from the heartbeat. It captures the moment when a song offered to someone returns as a voice that helps the singer rise again. Its story follows a dream held alone becoming reality through another person, with a shared heartbeat extending from exhilarating moments onstage into everyday life. A wish for that connection to endure runs throughout the album.
Anticipation is growing over how the five tracks’ contrasting emotions and the musk-inspired warmth between stage and audience will come together in music. RESCENE will release ‘PULSE’ on streaming platforms on November 3 at 6 p.m. KST and begin comeback promotions.
