The album reflects AEN's distinct ambition to 'open a new era of this very moment,' showcasing their fearless first steps.
AEN is a joint project between Starship Entertainment and Japanese agency Amuse, leveraging Starship's track record of successfully debuting global K-pop groups like MONSTA X, WJSN, and CRAVITY to target both the Korean and Japanese markets at once. The group name is an acronym for 'A New Era of Now,' meaning 'a generation that redefines the present moment,' and it also carries the Japanese meaning of 'Eternity' (Eien). The lineup, consisting of six members from the Starship survival show 'Debut Plan' and one Japanese member, Haruto, has garnered high expectations, drawing attention from five major Japanese sports newspapers.
The title track 'X to Z (Next to me)' is a powerful electronic rock fusion song blending electric guitars and synth bass, expressing unwavering confidence amidst chaos and a promise to fans. Its fast-paced beats, grand lyrics, and strong performances that intuitively highlight AEN's characteristics stand out. The album features a total of 10 tracks, including 'Clockwise', 'Focus On Me', 'CHILLS', and 'HIGHFIVE', covering various genres and moods. With their flexible charm, AEN's future in the music industry is highly anticipated.
